In December, Caixa began the migration of beneficiaries who still withdraw Bolsa Família exclusively with the Citizen Card to the digital social savings account. Used in the payment of emergency aid, the savings account allows the payment of bills and household bills (such as water, electricity and gas).
The digital savings account also allows you to make purchases with a virtual debit card over the Internet and with a QR code (advanced version of the barcode) in physical stores with machines from associated establishments. Digital savings allow up to three free transfers per month to any bank account.
According to the schedule published at the end of last year, beneficiaries with final 9 and 0 NIS began to receive Bolsa Família through the digital social savings account in December. In January, the payment of the platform will now be made for those registered in the NIS 6, 7 and 8 finals.
In February, Caixa will open digital savings accounts for NIS beneficiaries with final 3, 4 and 5. In March, it will be the turn of those registered with final NIS 1 and 2 and the Specific Traditional Population Groups (GPTE), a category that indigenous people, quilombolas, riverside residents, extractivists, artisanal fishermen, traditional communities, family farmers, settlers, camps and people on the street.
