Caixa launches a new version of the Caixa Tem application for emergency assistance | Financial services

Anyone who already has a savings account with Caixa or is an account holder in other banks and has reported their bank details when registering for the program does not need the application.

However, the others who received the benefit through the institution’s new digital savings account, created for this program, depend on it to move the money.

A new version of the application is available to download on mobile phones and update the previous one, Caixa reported in a press release on Monday afternoon (27).

Also on Monday, withdrawals began to be published, which depend on a code generated by the Caixa Tem application. They follow a schedule based on the worker’s birthday.

According to the president of Caixa, Pedro Guimarães, the errors are due to congestion in the system. On one of the days, Caixa Tem even recorded 20 million transactions.

The app launched about 6 months ago and is designed to run on simpler phones, with less memory and low mobile data usage.

According to Caixa, the Caixa Auxílio Emergencial application (to request assistance) had 63.8 million downloads and the Caixa Tem application, for the digital savings movement, exceeded 52 million downloads.

The bank also reports that 48 million people signed up to try to get help. Not everyone can receive it and several are still waiting for the analysis of their requests.

Payments have been made since April 9, for Three groups with different calendars.

The first is for workers who were in the Single Registry before March 20.
