Lakers mistakes in the 1st quarter
Los Angeles’ 10 turnovers in the first quarter of Game 3 were the team’s record in any quarter this season (including the regular or knockout phase).
LeBron beating every game
James surpassed John Stockton (1839) and became the second player with the most assists in the history of the playoffs, with 1846. Only Magic Johnson (2346) follows.
1st quarter: Heat defense works, but Lakers react in the end
The Lakers opened with a rehearsed play with the airlift between LeBron and Howard. The Heat took the lead with Leonard and Crowder by three. The defense worked and the team opened 8 points with the steal, Herro’s fast counterattack and Butler’s dunk (16-8). James made 5 mistakes in the game and went to the bench.
The Miami star, in turn, put on a show with a twist and individual play opening 11 for his team (20-9). Los Angeles put the King back on the court and improved. Morris made three and was fouled out of the box as a result, winning three bids and converting two for a total of 5. Kuzma closed on another length on the timer and the lead fell to just three points. Miami 26 x 23 Lakers.
2nd quarter – Miami is doing well with Butler leading and holding the Lakers
Morris opened in three, leaving everything the same. On Nunn’s pass, Iguodala put the Heat on edge. Kuzma made the individual move and put the Lakers back on top with the bonus offer. With the help of Olynyk, Croweder did it. The game stayed here and there. Rondo pitched Davis, who masterfully magnified the airlift. But Butler called for responsibility, turned the game into a beautiful ball even well marked in the bottle and increased with another short kick.
Miami had a chance to open more, but Nunn slipped in an attack, perhaps from anxiety and then LeBron spun, scored two and still fouled, taking one more on the free throw (and celebrated by showing off his biceps). With Davis on the bench, James made a beautiful pass and saw Morris finish well on play.
Robinson cooled the reaction with a triple, but Crowder missed a dumb pass and the Lakers’ No. 23 expanded early. Butler did two more in a new move on the jug. LeBron scored three, Hill responded in kind, but JR kicked out and did it for Los Angeles. In the end, the Florida team came out with four up front: 58-54.

3rd quarter: Olynyk is crucial in the triple and Butler flying
Out of three, Robinson started for Heat in the third quarter. Davis made his fourth foul and, on the fast play, two more from Miami came in with Leonard in great assist from Herro. In the sequence, he shot from outside the bottle to enlarge (66 to 54).
Caldwell-Pope, three, led the Lakers in the fourth just under 8 minutes to go. Davis had two more in a row, but Butler made a mistake, and Robinson had to foul to avoid another Los Angeles basket at halftime. Only Green’s two free throws were accurate.

Butler was fouled on the individual try and scored both moves. LeBron answered on the spin, but the Heat’s ace made two. Olynyk launched Miami with a triple and then made another (the second with a beautiful assist from Iguodala). The Florida team’s defense was going well and Butler did it in a beautiful attack.
In the sequence, he missed up front, and Caruso started the counterattack for Davis to bury. Three-year-old Kuzma reduced the handicap to five. Butler was left on the ground feeling Rondo miss and made two free throws. James still did it on individual infiltration, but the Heat went into the fourth quarter with 85-80 on the scoreboard.
Bedroom 4 – Butler glows, LeBron gets mad and Miami takes
LeBron opened in singles play and extended the bonus offer. Butler’s spectacular assist for Crowder’s basket put the Heat six ahead. Morris reduced by three, and Nunn needed an attack (but didn’t like the referee’s mark). Morris made a short shot, and Rondo, early on, put the Lakers on edge for the first time since 37-36.
Butler’s hook, coming off the bench and back on the court, tied it all up. The referee then called LeBron’s play, and Olynyk and Herro set the game on fire again with two of three (97-91 for Heat). The answer came in the same way with Kuzma.

Olynyk did it in the car after a good pass from Butler. The referee again marked LeBron’s play, which went crazy. Herro reached out with a short kick. After catching the “flying” rebound (reaching triple-double), Butler made two more. Olynyk stole from LeBron and avoided the Lakers’ points, but Robinson missed the ball in a row.
Morris, 3, left the game open 2 minutes from time. But shrewd Butler was fouled, made both free throws and, after Morris’s misdirected shot, scored two more on the layup. Herro scored two more, fouled, scored the bonus offer and looked bad (imitating LeBron James), and Robinson submitted three. End of game: 115-104 for Miami.
