His name is Jimmy Butler, but he can also be called a resistance hero. If the NBA world was preparing for a Los Angeles Lakers party this Friday night, the Miami Heat star tried to bring the best version of himself to the court. With a triple-double of 35 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists, he led his team to victory 111-108, reducing the Lakers’ lead in the final to 3-2 and forcing Game 6. title.
On the other hand, LeBron James had a monstrous night. Individually he was as overwhelming as Butler when he had 40 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists. Not to mention an incredible 71% use of his shots (15-21) and 66.7% on three balls (6-9).
Playing sacrifice for a heel injury, Anthony Davis added 28 points and 12 rebounds, repeating his defensive show once again by scoring 3 steals and stealing 3 balls, in addition to the relentless mark that made the Heat miserable. But Butler and his assistants got the best of it in the end, and the teams will return to the court this Sunday at 8:30 pm.

The Los Angeles Lakers started the game by betting on a card that worked in Game 4: Anthony Davis on Jimmy Butler’s score. The Heat star, however, was undaunted and gave the Lakers a lot of work. To the anguish of Angelina fans, Miami continued to tease Duncan Robinson and Kendrick Nunn, a surprise factor for efficiency on the court. After Anthony Davis aggravated an ankle injury, LeBron decided to roar. The leader of the Lakers fought a chilling duel with Butler, preventing the good night of the home team from turning into absolute dominance. If Heat opened in double digits, LeBron got his team back on track.

LeBron equals Derek Fischer’s iconic brand

Writing held by the Heat, and broken on the Lakers side
The winner of the first quarter had won all four games of the series. That Friday, Heat won the first period 25-24 and kept writing. The Lakers entered Game 5 of the final with an incredible record of 12 wins and no losses when they won the first quarter. It was not like that this time.
1st bedroom: defensive battle and lots of balance
In an airlift received from Tyler Herro, Bam Adebayo opened the scoring in Florida and already told the Lakers that he was willing to be aggressive. Soon a mark of the first room appeared: the suffocating defenses. The teams were concerned about not giving the opponent space, generating a balanced combat. Anthony Davis, as in Game 4, began by concentrating his efforts on containing Jimmy Butler.
After a crash, Dwight Howard and Butler received technical fouls, which made it clear how hot the weather was in the opening minutes. With a more consistent defense, the Lakers posted a 9-0 streak, but saw the Heat react on the streak. With one minute to go, a nightmare for the Lakers. Anthony Davis limped and lay on the ground in pain. He was aggravating a heel injury again and Heat won the first quarter 25-24.
2nd quarter: LeBron fights frantic duel with Butler, Heat remains in the lead
The second quarter began with LeBron, but without Anthony Davis on the court, much to the anguish of the Lakers fan. Right on the triples, the Heat opened their biggest lead in the game, 9 points just over 9 minutes before the break. Confident, Kendrick Nunn got off to a good start, helping the Heat build their lead.
Just before the middle of the quarter, Davis was back in the game. LeBron James, interested in three shots, managed to cut the Heat’s lead to 6 points in the middle of the quarter. But with Kendrick Nunn and Butler doing very well on the night, the Heat opened in double digits again. At the end of the first half, the Heat won 60-56.
3rd quarter: Duncan Robinson steals the show at the end and Heat maintains the lead
LeBron returned from halftime staying vital to the Lakers in the timing and aim of the game. Davis was active in the attack. Fundamental factors for the Lakers to stay close to their rivals. Butler continued to shine and balance became the keynote at the beginning of the second part. Dwight fouled Butler hard and received a flagrant 1.
LeBron was tireless. He struggled with rebounds, he served his teammates, he was a real threat on the perimeter. But with Duncan Robinson unstoppable at the three-point line, the Heat stayed ahead on the scoreboard and entered the fourth quarter winning 88-82.
4th Quarter – Epic duel between Butler and LeBron
The Lakers started the fourth quarter with a delicate moment in the game. The Heat saw 11 open points at 10:30 am. LeBron responded with his three balls, almost infallible. Danny Green made an important triple for the Lakers, who were 5 points off the lead. Anthony Davis, with opportunities at the free throw line, further reduced vanatgem. On a Caldwell-Pope 3-pointer, the Lakers finally took the lead.
The defense of the Lakers was surpassed, Duncan Robinson did lack of attack and the Lakers lived, in a snap of fingers, their best moment of the game. Anthony Davis limped, playing sacrifice. Duncan Robinson returned to chase the Lakers with his strong three-point shot.
LeBron landed a free throw and put the Lakers 1 point ahead 1:13 from the end. Butler responded with a walk away to regain leadership. LeBron returned the attack. With 46 seconds to go, the Lakers won by 1 point.
With 21 seconds left, Davis gave the Lakers a 1-point lead. The Heat went to two free throws with Butler and passed the score. One point ahead with 16.8 on the clock. Green missed a three-ball attempt, Morris made a wrong pass, and the Lakers’ loss was practically decreed.
