The Regional Electoral Court of Rio de Janeiro sued the Federal Police on Sunday morning (29) against a bus drivers strike in Rio. According to the court, “the strike is illegal and represents a serious impediment and shame for the elections.”
Since dawn, the employees of Redeemer and Future decided to go on strike. The movement reaches the inhabitants of the regions of Jacarepaguá, Barra da Tijuca and Recreio, in the West Zone of the city.
Drivers say that companies want to divide the 13 into eight installments and would not charge the FGTS and INSS, among other complaints.

In a note, the Transcarioca Consortium, responsible for transportation in the region, said that it was surprised by the strike and that the companies had been negotiating the payment in installments of the 13th salary.
