Brazil sets a new record in the moving average with 2,548 daily deaths from Covid | Coronavirus

It is already 66 days in a row with the moving average of deaths above the thousand mark; on the twentieth day, the mark appears above 1.5 thousand; and the country now completes 11 days with this average above 2,000 deaths per day.

In confirmed cases, since the start of the pandemic 12,489,232 Brazilians have had or have the new coronavirus, with 81,909 of those confirmed on the last day. The moving average for the last 7 days was 77,128 new diagnoses per day, a new record since the start of the pandemic. This represents a variation of + 16% in relation to the cases registered in two weeks, which indicates upward trend in diagnoses.

It is worth mentioning that there are states in which low death rates can lead to large percentage variations. Moving average data is generally in decimal numbers and rounded to facilitate presentation of the data.

Balance of vaccination against Covid-19 this Saturday (26) indicates that 15,248,847 people have already received the first dose of vaccine against Covid-19, according to data published up to 8:00 p.m. The number represents 7.20% of the Brazilian population.

The second dose has already been applied to 4,678,451 people (2.21% of the country’s population) in all the states and the Federal District.

In total, 19,933,528 doses were applied throughout the country.
