At least 14 states have had problems with the Ministry of Health system in recent days. As the states are the source of the consortium data and some can only send partial data, this situation affects the numbers. São Paulo, for example, which has the highest number of deaths from Covid in the country, included the death data for the last time last Thursday (5), when the state total was 39,717 deaths.
Faced with this scenario, Brazil registered 204 deaths from Covid in the last 24 hours. There are 162,842 since the beginning of the pandemic according to the data reported to the consortium of press vehicles until 8 at night. 25,517 new cases were confirmed from Monday (9) to Tuesday (10). The total is 5,701,283.
The moving average of cases on Tuesday is 19,165 new cases per day, 21% less than the average of 14 days ago. The moving average of deaths was 328 deaths per day, a reduction of 24% compared to two weeks ago.
São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais did not release the death figures on Tuesday that allow calculating the moving average of deaths.
Five states are on the rise: Amapá, which released figures for the first time since the state blackout last Tuesday (3), Pernambuco, Rio Grande do Norte, Paraná and Santa Catarina. The highest increases were registered in Paraná and also in Amapá after these data were dammed by the electricity blackout and the data blackout.
The Federal District and six states remain stable, with little variation in the average number of deaths: Acre, Rondônia, Pará, Maranhão, Bahia and Espírito Santo.
Falling in the average number of deaths, we have 12 states: Amazonas, Roraima, Tocantins, Piauí, Ceará, Paraíba, Alagoas, Sergipe, Goiás, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul and Rio Grande do Sul. Goiás and Tocantins had the biggest falls in average deaths.
On Tuesday night, the Ministry of Health again said that since the end of the afternoon the platform has been stable, allowing states to update the data. The São Paulo Secretary of State for Health reported that he was able to access the Sivep system, and this Wednesday (11) should release updated figures.
