Brazil registers 1,940 deaths in 24 hours; the moving average returns to record and the number of cases also | Wellness

This is what a new survey by the media consortium shows on the situation of the coronavirus pandemic in Brazil based on data from state health departments, consolidated at 8:00 pm on Saturday.

There are also 52 days in a row with the moving average of deaths above the 1 thousand mark, 16 days above 1.1 thousand, and by the fourteenth day the mark appears above 1.2 thousand. There have been 15 records in a row from February 27 to now.

In confirmed cases, since the start of the pandemic 11,439,250 Brazilians have had or have the new coronavirus, with 70,934 of those confirmed on the last day. The moving average for the last 7 days was 71,419 new diagnoses per day. This represents a variation of + 31% in relation to the cases registered in two weeks, which also indicates an upward trend in diagnoses.

Twenty-two states and the Federal District have a high death rate: PR, RS, SC, ES, MG, SP, GO, MS, MT, AC, AP, PA, RO, TO, AL, CE, MA, PB, PE , PI, RN and SE.

This comparison takes into account the average number of deaths in the last 7 days until the publication of this balance in relation to the average registered two weeks ago (understand the criteria used by the G1 to analyze pandemic trends).

It is worth mentioning that there are states in which the low average number of deaths can lead to large percentage variations. Moving average data is generally in decimal numbers and rounded to facilitate presentation of the data.

Balance of vaccination against Covid-19 this Saturday (13) indicates that 9,667,997 people have already received the first dose of vaccine against Covid-19, according to data published until 8:00 p.m. The number represents 4.57% of the Brazilian population.

The second dose has already been applied to 3,539,612 people (1.67% of the country’s population) in all states and the Federal District.

In total, 13,207,609 doses were applied throughout the country.

Data on coronavirus cases and deaths in Brazil were obtained after an unprecedented association between G1, O Globo, Extra, O Estado de S.Paulo, Folha de S.Paulo and UOL, which began to work, from June 8, in a collaborative way to collect the necessary information in the 26 states and the Federal District (know plus ).
