29,070 new cases of the disease caused by the coronavirus were also reported, with a total of confirmed infections in the country reaching 5,810,652.

Although the folder is calculating some of the data that was out of date for the week, some locations still have lagging numbers. This Friday, for example, the count of cases and deaths in Paraná, as well as the number of deaths in São Paulo, was not updated.

The executive secretary of the Ministry of Health, Elcio Franco, said that the folder found evidence that it was the target of a cyberattack attempt, which led him to block access to its networks to ensure data security.

Franco said that there is a forecast to return to normality next Monday.

The ministry has suffered technical problems since Thursday of last week, even mentioning the detection of viruses in some workstations and, later, an incident on the web pages that affected the designs.

Despite the delays, Brazil remains the second country with the highest number of deaths from coronavirus in the world, only behind the United States, and the third in cases, below the United States and India.
