Brazil registered 398 new deaths from covid-19 in the last 24 hours, reaching 146,773 deaths from the disease. The information was compiled by the vehicle consortium of which the Twitter It is part of.
The survey conducted with state health departments indicates 25,593 confirmed cases in the last 24 hours. In total, there have been 4,940,499 diagnoses of the disease since the start of the pandemic.
The only state that did not present notifications of cases and deaths in relation to yesterday was Roraima. Acre and Rio Grande do Norte did not register confirmation of new deaths from covid-19 in this interval.
The moving average of deaths, calculated from the number of deaths in the last seven days, is 659, which represents stability in relation to the variation of 14 days ago.
Six states showed a drop in the moving average of deaths and four showed an increase.
The North was the only region that showed an increase (27%). The Midwest (-3%), Northeast (-1%), Southeast (-15%) and South (-4) were stable in the 14-day variation.

Government data
The Ministry of Health reported 323 new deaths from covid-19 compared to yesterday, totaling 146,675 deaths from the new coronavirus.
In the last 24 hours, 11,946 new infections were confirmed, totaling 4,927,235 covid-19 diagnoses.
According to the folder, the Roraima Health Department did not update the data due to a holiday in the state. As in the vehicle consortium, the ministry also noted that there was no record of new deaths by the departments of Acre and Rio Grande do Norte.
The federal government considers 4,295,302 recovered cases and states that there are 485,258 patients under follow-up.
SP has second consecutive week with drop in cases and deaths
For the second week in a row, the state of São Paulo recorded a drop in the daily moving average of cases and deaths caused by the new coronavirus. It is the federal unit that has the highest number of infections and deaths from the disease in the entire country.
However, SP had registered, after ten consecutive weeks of decline, a small increase in the moving average of new hospitalizations, of 3%, which, according to the government, is still not worrying.
Indian group creates affordable test
A group of scientists from India has developed a test for covid-19 that can facilitate access to the diagnosis of the virus. Named “Feluda” in honor of a famous Indian character, the test is done on paper and has a similar use to that of the PCR test. It uses genome editing technology that detects the virus. The technology, called Crispr, processes the information and, if a gene is detected with the virus, it highlights two blue lines on the paper.
Vehicles gather to obtain information
In response to the decision of the government of Jair Bolsonaro to restrict access to data on the covid-19 pandemic, media Twitter, El Estado de S. Paulo, Folha de S.Paulo, O Globo, G1 and Extra formed a consortium to work collaboratively to seek the necessary information directly from the state health departments of the 27 units of the Federation.
The federal government, through the Ministry of Health, should be the natural source of these figures, but recent attitudes by the authorities and the president himself question the availability of the data and its veracity.
