The media consortium published a new survey on the situation of the coronavirus pandemic in Brazil based on data from state health departments, consolidated at 8 pm on Monday (22).
The registered country 716 deaths from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, reaching the total of 247,276 deaths since the start of the pandemic. As a result, the moving average of deaths in Brazil in the last 7 days was 1,055. 33 days have passed with this average above the 1000 mark. The variation was + 2% compared to the 14-day average, indicating stability trend in deaths from the disease.
In confirmed cases, since the start of the pandemic 10,197,531 Brazilians have had or have the new coronavirus, with 30,231 of those confirmed on the last day. The moving average for the last 7 days was 47,374 new diagnoses per day. This represents a variation of + 5% in relation to the cases registered in two weeks, which indicates stability trend also in diagnoses.
Twelve states have a high death rate: RS, SC, GO, AC, PA, RO, RR, BA, CE, PB, PE and RN.

This comparison takes into account the average number of deaths in the last 7 days until the publication of this balance in relation to the average registered two weeks ago (understand the criteria used by the G1 to analyze pandemic trends).
It is worth mentioning that there are states in which the low average number of deaths can lead to large percentage variations. Moving average data is generally in decimal numbers and rounded to facilitate presentation of the data.
Balance of vaccination against Covid-19 this Monday (22) indicates that 5,982,640 people have already received the first dose vaccine against Covid-19, according to data published up to 20 hours. The number represents 2.83% of the Brazilian population.
The second dose has already been applied to 1,269,005 people (0.60% of the country’s population) in all states and the Federal District. In total, 7,251,645 doses were applied throughout the country.
