The figures refer to the cases registered with the federal government by the State Health Secretariats in a 24-hour period, counted from 4 pm the previous day, regardless of the date of the events.
On Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, these figures are usually lower due to the operation of the Health Departments and Laboratories.

Variant of Covid-19
The arrival of the variant of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes Covid-19, first found in the UK shortly before Christmas, has already been confirmed in 31 countries.
Studies indicate that it is more transmissible, but experts say there is no evidence yet that it is more dangerous.
The World Health Organization (WHO) reported that initial analysis of the new strain indicates that it can spread more easily between people, but studies are underway to determine whether it is associated with changes in the severity of symptoms and antibody response. or even the efficacy of the vaccine.
Until December 30, the change called VOC-202012/01 (worrying variant, year 2020, month 12, variant 01) was registered in 31 countries:
