SAINT PAUL. The PSOL candidate, Guilherme Boulos, announced that he had preventedly suspended street activities in his campaign to the city of São Paulo after the federal deputy Sâmia Bomfim (PSOL-SP) was diagnosed with Covid-19.

The MP was at the event last Friday when PT, PCdoB, PDT, Rede and PSB announced their support for Boulos in the second round. On Monday, Sâmia announced on Twitter that she tested positive for the new coronavirus. She claimed to be “fine, without acute symptoms and isolated at home.”

Take the test and find out: With which mayoral candidate do you most identify?

– The contact I had with Sâmia was absolutely sporadic, occasional, both with masks. I don’t have any symptoms. As a precautionary measure, we decided to take the test. We also made the decision, until the test result comes out, out of absolute concern not to make public agendas.

Boulos also said his team is having trouble scheduling the test, which, in his opinion, would be an “expression of the difficulties” the city faces with the disease at the moment.

– The mayor seems to underestimate him.

This Tuesday, Boulos held a meeting in a hotel with public safety unions. The candidate said the event had a restricted audience and everyone followed sanitary protocols, such as wearing a mask.
