Botafogo makes a protest this Monday at the CBF after what he considered a decisive error by the refereeing in the defeat of Bahia, 1-0, last Sunday, for the 20th round of Brasileirão. Alvinegra’s board did not agree with the penalty score that defined the score at 50 minutes of the second half.
The information was published for the first time by the reporter Thiago Veras, from Rádio Tupi. The Rio club is represented by President Nelson Mufarrej, who intends to go personally to the CBF headquarters, in Barra da Tijuca, to speak with Leonardo Gaciba, the entity’s director of arbitration.
– Brazilian arbitration is at a very low level. What happened in the game yesterday is more absurd, a beginner’s mistake, with a lack of basic knowledge of the rules of the game. It is regrettable to have to endure an unprepared referee being selected to act in a match after such a serious mistake.
