With a great defensive performance, Botafogo managed to maintain 0-0 against Santos tonight (20) at Nilton Santos, in Rio de Janeiro. The result was not good for the ambitions of either team in the Championship.
Santos managed to maintain the unbeaten streak and now has six games without losing. However, Cuca’s team missed a good chance to reach the G4, staying in seventh place. The added point for Botafogo was good to get him out of the runner-up, but it was not enough to finish the round outside the relegation zone.

After the break, the rhythm of the game remained similar, this time with the attack by Santos reinforced by the presence of Kaio Jorge, who returned to the team after recovering from Covid-19. At 29 he received the ball crossed by Sánchez and almost opened the scoring with his head. At 44 minutes, Santos made a bombardment, but Fogão’s defense again managed to dodge the goal.
