Bolsonaro’s government has 40% approval and 29% disapproval, says Ibope survey | Politics

The Ibope survey published this Thursday (24) shows the following evaluation percentages on the government of President Jair Bolsonaro:

  • Great alright: 40%;
  • Regular: 29%;
  • Bad / terrible: 29%;
  • Don’t know / didn’t answer: two%

The survey was commissioned by the National Confederation of Industries (CNI). According to the organization, the survey was conducted between September 17 and 20 and 2,000 people were heard in 127 municipalities.

Still according to the investigation, the confidence index in Jair Bolsonaro it is 46%. Another 51% say they don’t trust the president. Among those surveyed, 3% did not know or did not want to answer.

The margin of error is 2 percentage points plus or minus and 95% confidence.

The latest survey published by Ibope and also commissioned by CNI with the approval of the president was conducted in December 2019.

The figures obtained at that time were: Excellent / good: 29%; Regular: 31%; Bad / very bad: 38%; Does not know / does not answer: 3%.

Expectation of the population

The new survey also took into account the population’s expectations of the government. The results show that 36% believe Bolsonaro’s next years in office will be great or good.

Another 30% said it would be bad or terrible. For 29%, the next few years will be regular. All three percentages varied within the margin of error.

One of the aspects surveyed refers to the approval of the way of governing of President Jair Bolsonaro. In this sense, the results were:

  • Approve: fifty%;
  • Disapprove: Four. Five%;
  • I don’t know or I didn’t answer: 5%.

In the previous poll, 41% of those surveyed approved of Bolsonaro’s way of governing, 53% disapproved of it, and 5% did not know or did not respond.

The survey also evaluated the perception of the population about government areas:

  • Approve: 51%;
  • Disapprove: Four. Five%;
  • I don’t know / didn’t answer: 3%.

Ibope also asked respondents about the perception of the news in relation to the government of Jair Bolsonaro. In the survey, 20% consider recent news about the government to be more favorable, and 43% consider it more unfavorable.

Another 25% consider that the news is neither favorable nor unfavorable, and 12% do not know or did not want to give their opinion.

The survey also requested a comparison between the current government and the previous government, by President Michel Temer (MDB). Of those interviewed, 49% consider that the Bolsonaro government is better than its predecessor, 26% consider it the same and 21% consider that the current government is worse. 4% did not know or did not want to comment.
