President Jair Bolsonaro (no party) said he would be “neutral” in a possible final of the Libertadores de América between Palmeiras and Santos. He is a committed fan of Verdão.
Bolsonaro was in Vila Belmiro on Monday afternoon for “Natal Sem Fome”, an event organized by former player Narciso to collect food and toys for families in need.
“They already invited me, I will be in the final in Maracana. I will be your neutral,” Bolsonaro said in an interview at the stadium.
Palmeiras and Santos are semifinalists for Libertadores and will face River Plate and Boca Juniors, from Argentina, respectively. The final is scheduled for January 30, in a single match in Maracanã.
Bolsonaro will spend the end of the year in Baixada Santista, more precisely in Forte dos Andradas, in Guarujá.
