Generalized criticism of the fact that President Jair Bolsonaro politicized the fight and vaccines against the coronavirus; the defeat of his idol, Donald Trump, in the United States elections; the preparation for war for the election of the new mayor against the current president, Rodrigo Maia; the poor performance of its candidates in the municipal campaigns this year; the siege of its military ministers to the ministers of the ideological area; he sees the risk of deepening the economic crisis and Congress and its Minister of Economy, Paulo Guedes, stopped.
All this has literally taken away the sleep of the President of the Republic.
His closest collaborators assure that he has spent sleepless nights at the Palacio de la Alvorada. Sometimes irritated, anxious, he leaves the protection of the glass doors of the empire designed by the communist Oscar Niemeyer and stands, desolate and isolated, speculating on the lawn.
Irritation flared and the president can no longer wear the “Bolsonaro Paz e Amor” suit that he sewed to attract Centrão’s adherence at the turn of the year.
In a ceremony yesterday at the Planalto Palace, the pacifist mask was thrown. Speaking of gunpowder, it was simply threatening to open war on the United States. And he qualified as still a candidate for president-elect, Joe Biden, who threatens an international siege on the anti-environmental policy of the Brazilian government.
“We saw a great candidate for head of state saying that if I don’t put out the fire in the Amazon, he will raise trade barriers against Brazil (…) Only in diplomacy will it not work (…) having gunpowder,” said Bolsonaro, Planalto ceremony.
The declaration of war was not well received even by Trump’s appointed US ambassador to Brazil.
Soon after, Todd Chapman published a message of congratulations to the United States Marine Corps on its 245th anniversary. In a subtle and diplomatic message, the ambassador added to the publication a video that marks the detachment as “the largest in the world” and is “always ready to respond quickly, whether by land, air or sea.”.
The new and old Bolsonaro drew the machine gun at the ceremony and even fired at his country, calling everyone “ladybugs”:
Everything is now a pandemic, we must end this business. I’m sorry for the dead, I’m sorry. We will all die one day, here we will all die. There is no use running away from it, fleeing from reality. It has to stop being a country of ladybugs. Look at that full plate for the press. Full plate for the vulture back there. We have to face (with) an open chest, fight.
Rodrigo Maia, understood the reasons for the president’s irritation and responded on Twitter that he is ready for war:
However, Bolsonaro tends to make erratic movements. Generally, when you go too far and suffer strong reactions, like these, you end up backing off and then attacking again. You may make some backward movements in the next movements. But the radical Bolsonarians are happy with the president’s latest gestures.
