The former regional prosecutor of the Republic Carlos Fernando do Santos Lima said today that he sees a dismantling of Lava Jato in a “national political stabilization pact” in which the Executive, Legislative and Judicial powers “are dismantling the entire fight against corruption” .
In an interview with the paid channel CNN, Lima said that the election of Jair Bolsonaro (without a party) is one of the causes of this process: “His election brought a lot of this wear to Operation Lava Jato.” For the former prosecutor, the president “never brandished the effective flag to fight corruption.”
