A leisurely walk on a pleasant Sunday afternoon in Spa-Francorchamps. This is how you can define another victory for Lewis Hamilton in Formula 1, the fifth in seven races in the 2020 season. The six-time champion led the Belgian GP with Mercedes from end to end and was followed by his teammate Valtteri Bottas and Max Verstappen . by RBR.
With his fourth victory at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit and 89th in F1, Hamilton came within two to equal German Michael Schumacher’s record of 91. The 2020 season continues next weekend with the Italian Grand Prix in Monza.

On the podium, Hamilton again paid tribute to Chadwick Boseman, an American actor who died of cancer last Friday. The six-time champion made the symbol of the character Black Panther, played by Boseman in the movies and also used to exalt the anti-racist fight.
In the championship standings, Hamilton shot even more up front, with 157 points, against 110 for vice leader Verstappen and 107 for Bottas, third place. To get an idea of the dominance of the three in 2020, the fourth on the table, Alexander Albon, has just 48 points.
Renault had its best race of the season and was fourth with Daniel Ricciardo, who had the fastest lap on the last lap, and fifth with Esteban Ocon. Alexander Albon (RBR), Lando Norris (McLaren), Pierre Gasly (AlphaTauri), Lance Stroll (Racing Point) and Sergio Pérez (Racing Point) also scored from sixth to tenth positions.

HAMILTON: “It was not an easy race. The tire temperatures were slowly dropping. It was a bit painful. No matter how successful we are, we have to keep our heads down. It’s an incredible mentality in operation.”
