Santos beat Defensa y Justicia (ARG) 2-1 tonight, in Vila Belmiro, for the last day of the Libertadores group stage. The goals were scored by Lucas Braga and Marcos Leonardo, for Peixe, and Romero for the Argentine club.
With the result, Peixe can finish the first phase of the continental competition as the best first place in the tournament. For that, the black and white needs to wait for Palmeiras to stumble tomorrow (21) against Tigre (ARG) in Allianz Parque.
