Corinthians has sought to strengthen its U-23 team with several signings and a cast of almost 40 athletes, but it is also thinking of betting on the exchange of categories under the command of Vagner Mancini. In the coach’s opinion, the ideal would be that more athletes little used in the professional could have a role in the team of applicants.
In the last month, for example, defender Raúl Gustavo and midfielder Roni, who is in the decisive phase of the Brazilian Aspirants, were assigned to the category. According to Mancini, in fact, the ideal was that other players would also have been assigned to this specific dispute, especially those who have been playing little in the leading team. “I think it is very interesting to play at the U-23. We thought about sending more, but the day the test was taken there we had to release, it was wrong, but ‘helping’ the U-23 is legal, in addition to being helped them and under 20s, ”said Mancini, treating the categories as a Corinthians unit.
