Suspected of raping and getting his 11-year-old niece pregnant, a man was found dead last Saturday (5), inside the police cell in Ibotirama, Bahia. According to the G1 portal, the suspect committed suicide.
The man was found dead when a police officer approached the cell for breakfast. Police also say an investigation was conducted at the scene, in which the cause of death by suicide was found.
The girl’s rape case was registered on August 6 at the police station in the city of Bahia. However, the crime took place in Irecê. According to the police version, the complaint was made after the girl’s delivery.
The victim and the baby were cared for by the Ibotirama Guardianship Council.
