Atlântico Stadium: Monday should be a historic day for the MRV Arena

On Sunday night, Atltico confirmed that the works will begin on the date indicated in the MRV Arena profile publication. “Massa Alvinegra’s dream is to get closer and closer to becoming a reality. The machines will enter the field for another important stage: earthmoving,” says an excerpt from the note.

Founder of MRV Engenharia, Atltico’s main partner in the construction of the stadium, Rubens Menin had reported in recent days that works would begin this week.

Last Thursday, the MRV Arena posted on Twitter photos of the progress of work in the stadium area. Machines used to transplant acum palms (Syagrus flexuosa), a rare species of great ecological importance.

The palms will be replanted in the Private Ecological Reserve (RPE), a preservation area next to the future stadium. The transplant was authorized and performed in accordance with the regulations of the Belo Horizonte City Council.

The Atlantic’s intention was to start construction of the MRV Arena in February, but the coronavirus crisis delayed the process. Now, it seems, the black dream of having a home of its own taking shape.

The stadium

Designed by the architect. Bernardo Farkasvlgyi, the MRV Arena has the ability to 46 thousand fans. The work was initially prayed in R $ 410 million, not counting the amount of R $ 50 million of the land, which had been donated by the construction company.

For the stadium to be feasible, Galo traded 50.1% of Diamond Mall for Multiplan for R $ 250 million. With monometric corrections of almost 20%, the amount achieved R $ 296.8 million in January 2020.

The remaining R $ 160 million It will be obtained through the denomination rights with MRV (R $ 60 million) and the sale of captive chairs: R $ 100 million, with 60% already guaranteed by the BMG bank.
