Corinthians The search for the second Women’s Brasileirão Championship begins this Sunday at 8:00 p.m. Timão faces Avaí Kindermann, in Ressacada, in Florianópolis. The comeback game will take place on December 6, at Neo Química Arena.

It is the fourth consecutive final for the Brasileirão of the team led by Arthur Elias four years ago. The national title came in 2018. In addition, Corinthians is two-time champion of Libertadores (2017 and 19), champion of the Copa do Brasil (2016) and Paulista (2019).

To reach the final, Timão, owner of 58 goals scored, had 14 victories in the first phase and only one defeat. In the knockout, they won both games against Grêmio and achieved a victory against Palmeiras after drawing in the first leg. For Arthur, the moment is sublime.

– I was very satisfied. For me, we are playing better than ever. The team returned after the quarantine with a different playing platform, the same concepts, but enhancing the midfield, taking out two centrals and putting two open and one more inside.

– I saw a degree of internal competitiveness grow, which is very positive. I saw that they felt more and more comfortable, and that is fundamental, since football is confidence. We are also very safe on the defensive. We have an average of goals conceded in the last year. The trajectory is incredible – said the coach.

The defeat is part and it was important. I am very satisfied with the performance, commitment and ability of the coaching staff and the club with the team – he added.

Arthur Elias is a two-time Brazilian champion. In 2013 he won the tournament with the Olympic Center. Today, at 39, he feels more mature and uses the experience to his advantage.

– Every year we have the possibility to reevaluate the work, see where it is possible to evolve in tactics and also in the environment, the way of leading. Constant evolution. I make a comparison with the Church of Barcelona, the Sagrada Familia, since it is a constant construction. That is what soccer professionals and of any profession believe about us.

– Experience helps a lot, also study. We update ourselves in tactical and human leadership, driving on and off the field. Practicing more gives more luggage. I have evolved a lot in wins and losses. He always knew how to take advantage of every moment. I see that this year we have managed to work our team better in all aspects – he concluded.
