Journalists from the Argentine radio station TyC Sports complained of noise and fireworks during the night in the area of the hotel where the Boca Juniors delegation is staying. The broadcast journalists are in the same hotel as the athletes.
“I am in Santos where the delegation is resting. Resting at the moment, because between 2:30 and 5:30 am, bombs and crashes were heard from various directions around the hotel,” said a reporter.
“Brazilians always do that. We have had opportunities to be here in Brazil on different occasions. On the eve of important matches they always do it,” he continued.
The station showed images of different moments where it is possible to see the rockets fired into the air. According to a reporter from the station, it all happened between 2:30 and 5:30 a.m.
He also explained that there were police cars in front of the hotel and that those responsible for the fires were apparently organized in parallel streets, out of sight of the police.
“A night of terror for Xeneiz in Brazil, the hotel was bombed all night,” the station wrote on Twitter.
