The day after making his last fight in MMA – loss to the Jamaican Uriah Hall – Anderson Silva used his social networks to say goodbye to the sport. The fighter pointed out that even losing, he is very happy and with a feeling of peace.
“Good morning my people, today is a very different day for a simple reason, to say goodbye to a lifetime dedicated to my sport; yesterday was so special, I went up to do what I love, I did not think that I would be as happy as I am, even losing , I have a feeling of peace, from the bottom of my heart I want to thank everyone, my team, my family, my friends and everyone who saw the fight; know that it has always been a great honor to fight all these years with your fans! “Anderson Silva wrote on his Instagram.
In addition to the message of appreciation to fans, Anderson Silva said he hoped to leave a legacy of perseverance in the lives of those who followed his career.
