The daughter-in-law and former parliamentary assistant of Federal Deputy Flordelis, Luana Rangel Pimenta, said in an interview with the newspaper Extra that she is concerned about the safety of the family. She is married to Councilor Wagner Pimenta, known as Misael, the fifth adopted son of Flordelis and Anderson do Carmo.
The couple played an important role in allowing the police to conclude that it was the pastor who ordered Anderson’s murder. According to Luana, three months before the pastor’s death, in March of last year, Anderson displayed on a tablet what appeared to be a “death request written by someone in the family.”
“We suspect and say it could be Flor. But he didn’t believe that, that she was capable, ”Luana recalls. According to Flordelis’s daughter-in-law, she was exonerated from the deputy’s office after she and Misael testified against her to the police.
“They threatened us, they tried to buy us, their followers harassed us on Instagram, but we didn’t give up. I fear that. I will not lie. I tell my husband that he needs an armored car. But we can’t do that now. It is counting on God and the justice of men ”, Luana told Extra.
The two went to live with Flordelis after Anderson’s death. “There was no question on our part. We only hope that Justice concludes what we already knew before the crime, ”says Luana.
Death investigation
At the end of August, the Civil Police concluded that Flordelis was the mastermind behind the murder of Anderson do Carmo. The investigation indicates that the weapon used in the crime was bought by the deputy. Flávio dos Santos, Flordelis’s biological son, is designated the author of the shots that killed the pastor.
According to investigations, the deputy would be unhappy with the way the pastor handled the family’s money.
In addition to Flordelis, ten more people were denounced for the murder of the pastor in the early morning of June 16, 2019 in Niterói. For exercising the parliamentary mandate, Flordelis cannot be arrested at this time. His defense denies the charges.
