Anatel confirms what was feared in 2021: the Galaxy S21 will come without a charger or headphones

The trio of the new generation of Galaxy S went to Anatel on Monday (7), and the certification documents of the regulatory agency bring a little unpleasant news for those who intend to buy one of the devices: no charger or phone in the box.

Three models were approved, all of them with support for two operator chips. The Galaxy S21 (or S30) is the SM-G991B, while the S21 + (or S30 +) comes with the reference SM-G996B, and the S21 Ultra (or S30 Ultra) closes the trio with the model number SM- G998B. The batteries have also been certified by the agency, and all are located in the manufacturing units in Campinas and Manaus.

In terms of load capacities, the S21 EB-BG991ABY has a nominal reference of 3,880 mAh and a nominal voltage of 3.88 Vdc. The S21 Plus brings the EB-BG996ABY, with 4,660.0 mAh and 3.88 Vdc. Finally, the S21 Ultra has an EB-BG998ABY battery with a nominal capacity of 4,855.0 mAh, with a nominal voltage of 3.88 Vdc.

In other words, the S21 should bring the same 4,000 mAh that is advertised as the full capacity of the Galaxy S20, while the S21 + may bring a little more than the 4,500 mAh used in the S20 +. Finally, the S21 Ultra must repeat the 5,000 mAh charge of its predecessor. If this is confirmed, only the “medium” model would have a tank increase.

Charger in the box? Not this time

And confirming expectations, Anatel’s approval shows that Samsung’s new high-end trio will follow the trend that Apple launched in October, announcing the new iPhone 12: no charger or headphones in the box. The documentation says exactly that, in these very words, as you can see from the print that the Canaltech Made the Galaxy S21 (S30) certification:

Be prepared for more companies to follow suit next year and don’t even trust the companies that make fun of Apple on social media. Today’s meme does not prove that a company does not adopt the same practice as a competitor.
