247 – Journalist Breno Altman, editor of Opera Mundi, made a comment on Monday 7, in the Good morning 247, in which he criticized the hysteria of the right and even sectors of a supposed left, after a praise from the musician Caetano Veloso to the Marxist historian Jones Manoel. Caetano said he stopped being a “liberal” after hearing Jones references to Italian historian Domenico Losurdo. “Whoever attacks Jones Manoel doesn’t have the courage to attack Caetano Veloso,” says Altman. “Instead of discussing the content, they attacked the messenger.”
Altman also made a reference to Globonews correspondent Guga Chacra, who tried to disqualify Jones by labeling him a Stalinist. “Guga ignores the father and mother,” Altman said.
