Alessandro Barcellos is the new Inter president. With 16,522 votes, in the election held today (15), the representative for the next three years was chosen by the members.
The competitor, José Aquino Flôres de Camargo, obtained 9,600 votes. In total, 29,041 votes were counted. There were 565 targets and 2,354 empty.
Alessandro assumes the position with Dannie Dubin, Arthur Caleffi, Luiz Carlos Ribeiro Bortolini and Humberto Cesar Busnello as vice-presidents.
The voting was carried out entirely via the Internet and began in the morning. Due to problems in the system, the deadline – which would be the end of the afternoon – was postponed until 9:00 p.m. (Brasilia time). The result came out minutes later.
Barcellos will take office in January. The transition process will begin to replace Marcelo Medeiros, who has led the club since 2017.
