Atlético’s U-23 midfielder, Rubens, was diagnosed this week with Covid-19 and, already in isolation, began procedures to recover from the disease that has already affected millions of people around the world. It is the first case in the club, after the Ecuadorian Cazares.
A detail that draws attention is that, on Monday (9), the young man participated in the activity on the field with the athletes who did not start among the usual against Flamengo. Among them, forward Eduardo Vargas, new reinforcement of the club that will be officially presented this Wednesday (11), in Cidade do Galo.
With the alert for possible new cases, Atlético will do a new test to the athletes (main and base team) this Thursday (12) -in compliance with the usual requirements of the CBF-, and, according to the club advisor, with a greater number of people examined. Employees who manufacture the battery every 15 days, due to this identified case moment, will also do so in a shorter interval.
It should be remembered that Cazares, upon being diagnosed with the new coronavirus, participated in an activity with the other companions. However, the virus did not spread at that time. An encouragement for everything to continue normal after the positive result in Rubens.
