Carlos Alberto Machado Tavares, father of actor Márcio García, died at the age of 77, this Friday (18), after complications from Covid-19.
The actor reported on the death of his father through a post on social media overnight. Tavares was hospitalized and had to be intubated.

“I am passing through here to thank the chain that was made for my father’s recovery. It was a very big and very beautiful chain. “He suffered a lot. He had a stroke and his left side stopped moving. He was intubated again and went to rest. But what remains is the affection, love and eternal gratitude that I will feel for him.”
At the end of the video, Garcia asked the fans to take care to avoid contagion with the new coronavirus.
“Don’t let fear take over, but be careful. Put on a mask, avoid going out and avoid crowds and be very careful. Protect yourself ”, warned Márcio García.
