A collision involving a car and nine passenger cars killed one person and left at least nine more injured on the BR-381. The accident occurred in Nova Unio, in the Metropolitan Region of Belo Horizonte, near the Bom Jesus do Amparo interchange. According to the fire department, the semi-trailer, which was loaded with watermelons, caught fire when it collided with vehicles. In shock, two of them were pressured.
The event mobilizes two archangel helicopters, five fire trucks, two fire trucks, in addition to ten agents of the Military Police and Civil Police. BR-381 is closed towards Vitria in the municipality of Nova Unio.
A part of the teams helps the victims, while the others work to put out the fire that consumes the trailer.

The Federal Highway Police reported that BR-381 was totally closed in the direction of Victoria, from KM 414, in Nova Unio, to KM 532, in Río Manso. Congestion in the region exceeds 5 kilometers. There is no provision for the release of the road.
An alternative for drivers who follow BR-356 to Esprito Santo, passing through Ouro Preto, Mariana and Rio Casca. Then take BR-262. The route adds about 100 kilometers.
Another option is to take the MG-338, which gives access to So Joo Del-Rei and south of Minas. For those coming from So Joo Del-Rei, it is possible to access the exit through Conselheiro Lafaiete.
