Three members of a Bolivian family were killed by Brazilians in Cobija, a city on the border with Brazil. The Acre Civil Police are investigating the crime that occurred last weekend. The information is from G1.

According to authorities, the mother and two brothers of a 14-year-old Bolivian girl were murdered after her father caught a Brazilian raping the girl. The man suspected of rape was working with another man to remove wood from a Bolivian property.

After catching the rape, the girl’s father tied the suspect to a tree trunk and went to the Brazilian side to ask the police for help. However, the other Brazilian who was at the scene rushed home, noticed that the relative was trapped in the tree and called the relatives to rescue the man.

Upon returning to the Bolivian’s property, the relatives released the man. The group then killed the 14-year-old girl’s mother, two of her brothers, and shot the rape victim. The bodies were dumped next to a tree and the family’s house was set on fire.

According to G1, despite the shooting, the 14-year-old girl was still alive and managed to ask for help. She is hospitalized in serious condition in the Rio Branco Emergency Room.

Still according to the police, the suspects returned to the scene hours later to try to locate the girl’s father and also to kill him, but he had left to take his daughter to hospital.

Two were arrested

Military and civil police officers arrived at the scene of the crime the same day, but could not locate the bodies. The team returned on Monday (14), made further searches and found all three dead. Still on Sunday, two suspects were arrested on the spot in the Acrelândia field.

According to the Prime Minister’s commander, the two prisoners confessed to being involved in the crime. One of them confessed to having shot the mother and one of the children. Five others from the same family, one of them a minor, are at large.
