Abel Braga is calloused. After leaving Flamengo hurt by the way the succession process was carried out by the club’s management, the coach asked for “truth” when asked about the International’s interest in Miguel Ángel Ramírez.

In Flamengo, Abel did not like Rubro-Negro’s management, having searched for Jorge Jesús while he was still in charge. Abel says that the action was “behind the scenes” and does not hide that he was hurt by the progress of the process.

Now, while he is in charge of Inter, with a tie until the end of the season -in February- the direction he takes at the beginning of 2021 has already spoken with Miguel Ángel Ramírez. It remains to be defined how the command change will be carried out.

“It’s very funny. If the president-elect has already said it, I don’t even know if I know him, I have nothing to say. I have a contract until February, which is when the championship ends. I am very sincere. Whoever hired me is leaving now , and I have great affection and a very good friendship with them. Now, what he [presidente eleito] you want to do? Ask Him. I just want the truth, with me it’s very simple. It is already being true, because he is not playing behind my back, as happened in Flamengo. I just want the truth, that it wasn’t there. Anything that happens to me is fine. I came to provide service and total dedication to the club that I love, ”said Abel.

Ramírez has already given “ok” to the new leadership of Inter, which envisions a process of transition of command with Abel Braga. The new president, Alessandro Barcellos, said he would like to speak with the coach to hear from him about the group, the timing and define the next steps. However, the chat has yet to take place.

“I have not spoken to anyone. It is very recent that he was also elected. He may come and speak, I do not know. As for what he is talking about, there are many questions,” Abel said.

The coach has not ruled out going through the transition process and has not even said what he thinks of the future. Questions about Ramirez, however, made him visibly uncomfortable in the press conference that followed the victory over Palmeiras, Colorado’s third in a row under his command.

“I left Flamengo having won the State Cup, the Florida Cup, finishing first in the Libertadores group stage after 11 years, with a great step to continue in the Brazil Cup after having beaten Corinthians. Do you think it will cross my mind? Who was looking for another coach? What would I go away? I am very skeptical. There is a very strong relationship between the club and me, the fans, but I cannot live in the past, nor be idealizing something in the future. I have to live now. Do you ask me tomorrow? I dont know. Today I am a soccer coach, tomorrow I may not. I don’t remember the past, nor do I imagine what the future holds for me ”, he stressed.

“The group is not good, it’s great. It’s good that everyone knows that. But I only know how to say something until Sunday. We have a game on Sunday, until then at least I’ll continue. Afterwards, I don’t know. I’m happy here, I don’t need to. say more, nothing. The team is improving, it is more compact and vibrant, “he concluded.

Inter closes 2020 against Bahia, away from home. The squad will be reintroduced on Monday. With the victory over Palmeiras, Colorado returned to the Brazilian’s G4.
