About 500 doses of Moderna’s Covid-19 vaccine had to be discarded after an employee of the Aurora Medical Center hospital chain intentionally removed 57 bottles from the pharmacy refrigerator in Wisconsin.
The information was confirmed on Wednesday (30), by the network itself. The medical center also claims that the employee was fired.
“We are clearly disappointed and regret that this has happened.”

“Unfortunately, most [das doses] it had to be discarded due to storage temperature requirements necessary to maintain its viability, ”the statement said.
Before disposal, some of the doses taken from the refrigerator could be used to vaccinate team members, within the approved 12-hour period after refrigeration.
However, most doses of the immunizer could not be used.
