Streamer Guilherme Menezes, 25, had his home robbed while livestreaming an online game. The images recorded the exact moment when the assailant puts the gun to his head and takes him out of the room in Guarujá, on the coast of São Paulo. The Internet users who were accompanying him at the time of his life mobilized and a friend called the Military Police, who managed to save the family and arrest one of the suspects.
Known as ‘Guixxm’ in the world of online games, the young man assures that he was focused on the game during the live held on Friday night (9), when, around 7:20 pm, the house was invaded by robbers. “It was when there was the scene that the guy came in, put the gun to my head and took me out of the chair. He took me out and I found my family all exhausted in the room. There was another thief with a machete,” he told G1.
He reports that he was accompanied by his parents, brother and sister-in-law. “Since the game is my job and I get paid for it, when I’m focused on playing I don’t get distracted. So in the video you can see that I only notice the assault when he really puts the gun to my head. So much so that I even thought it was a joke from someone in my family, but when I looked at his face, I realized what was happening, “he recalls.

According to the streamer during the robbery, the family’s biggest concern was his father, who is elderly and has a heart problem. While the family was being handed over by the criminals, Menezes reports that the assailants collected everything of value in the house and asked if there was money and a gun in the residence. “Except my parents don’t have a gun. And they kept saying that if they didn’t find a gun, the assault would turn into a kidnapping,” he says.
However, shortly after the live broadcast of the young man showed part of the assault on his home, the fans who saw him online were mobilized and one of his friends who accompanied him called the Military Police, since he had his address .

The military police officers rushed to the residence, located in Vila Santa Rosa, and when they got there, they saw two suspects leaving the house with televisions. Upon seeing the officers, the men fled, but one of them, a 33-year-old aide, was captured and with him a simulated firearm. He was arrested on the spot.
“Although one of the criminals took money and jewelry, I think the material loss was much less with the arrival of the PM. They arrived so fast, because while I was broadcasting live, one of the people who was watching me knew my address and my community was able to reach the police ”, highlights the streamer.
The police are still looking for the criminal who managed to escape, who took money and jewelry from the victims. The case was registered as a robbery at the Guarujá Police Station and the captured suspect was brought before the courts.
After the police action, the streamer published thanks to the entire community that accompanied him and helped with what happened. According to him, all those who assisted him mobilized to call the police and provide support for him and his family. “Guys, you saved my life and that of my family. Thanks to being live, the police managed to arrive in the middle of the robbery. Thank you, I will explain later (sic),” he wrote.
