Caixa offers up to R $ 125,000 in loans for small businesses

Seeking to alleviate the crisis caused by the pandemic of the new coronavirus in the country’s economy, the Federal Economic Fund, in association with SEBRAE, announced that it will offer R $ 7.5 billion in credit to individual microentrepreneurs (MEI) and micro and small businesses.

The loan comes from the Micro and Small Business Guarantee Fund (FAMPE), which improves small business access to a working capital line.

According to Caixa, employers will have a grace period of 9 to 12 months, payment between 24 and 36 months, with interest rates up to 40% lower than conventional ones. The maximum values ​​determined for the credit are as follows:

  • MEI – up to R $ 12,500 (interest of 1.59% per month)
  • Micro businesses – up to R $ 75 thousand (interest of 1.39% per month)
  • Small companies – up to 125 thousand (1.19% interest per month)

In order to receive the loan, it is necessary for the company’s billing to be a maximum of R $ 4.8 million per year, it is also necessary that you have accounts in days and that you have more than one year of opening. Entrepreneurs who do not have a Caixa account can open a specific account for payment.
