This Friday, the Ministry of Health reported that the number of confirmed cases of the new coronavirus in Brazil exceeded 50,000. In total, the country has 52,995 infected and 3,670 deaths from the disease.
São Paulo remains the state with the majority of cases, 17,826 of which were confirmed and 1,512 deaths. Rio de Janeiro registers 6,282 cases and 570 deaths, Ceará has 4,800 cases and 284 deaths, Pernambuco has 3,999 cases and 352 deaths and Amazonas registers 3,194 cases and 255 deaths.
