February 28, 2019: Moro revokes appointment to council after ‘negative repercussion’ by supporters of President

• Ilona Szabó, an expert in public security, had been appointed by the minister of the National Council for Penal and Penitentiary Policy. The ministry reported that the revocation was caused by “negative repercussions in some segments” of society. As the newspaper “O Globo” reported, Ilona’s appointment to the board as a substitute caused Moro to be criticized by supporters of President Jair Bolsonaro on social media.

August 16, 2019: Bolsonaro announces change of FP superintendent in Rio

• Without realizing the FP summit, Bolsonaro announced the replacement of the FP superintendent in Rio; there was a reaction at the police summit. “What I learned: if you decide to change, you will have to talk to me. I am in charge. Make it clear. I give all ministers freedom. But I am in charge,” Bolsonaro said at the time. August 22, 2019 – Bolsonaro threatens to change the CEO of PF

• When asked about the possibility of changing the Rio superintendent, Bolsonaro said he could remove Maurício Valeixo from the position of PF general director. “He can, Valeixo may want to leave today, it does not depend on his will. And another: he is subordinate to me, not to the minister, to make this very clear.
