The penalties correspond to the period in which he served as a soldier in the Military Police of Rio, for a little over five years and nine months: 26 days in prison, 54 days in detention, 14 warnings and two reprimands.
In a document, the Prime Minister cites problems such as “lack of commitment and incompatibility with military police service” and “bad behavior” for “disciplinary offenses”.
Also according to the report, Daniel Silveira was also involved in a document fraud investigation investigating falsified medical certificates made with a stolen doctor’s stamp. This happened when he was 25 years old and working as a bus collector.

Understand the case
Silveira released a video attacking court ministers, in particular Edson Fachin, Gilmar Mendes and Moraes himself. He was arrested in Petrópolis, a city in the mountainous region of Rio, by the Federal Police.
On social media, Silveira confirmed that the Federal Police arrived at her home in Petrópolis. “For the leftists who are celebrating, calm down, I have material immunity. I’m just going to sleep away from home and show Brazil who the ministers of that Supreme Court are. Being ‘arrested’ in these circumstances is a pride,” he posted.
He is investigated in two investigations: the one that investigates false news and threats against members of the STF – in which case the prison was decreed – and the one that aims to finance and organize anti-democratic acts in Brasilia. In June, the parliamentarian was subject to searches and arrests by the PF and his fiscal secret was broken by Moraes’ decision.
In testimony, the deputy denied having produced or forwarded messages that incited the animosity of the Armed Forces against the STF or its ministers.
On Friday, the Chamber of Deputies decided to maintain the prison of deputy Daniel Silveira, determined by the STF, in a blended session in the Plenary of the Chamber: 364 deputies were in favor of keeping the prison, 130 against and 3 abstentions.
Now, in addition to a lawsuit in the House Ethics Council that could lead to the impeachment of his mandate, Silveira has yet to respond to an action in the PSL that could expel him from the party. The deputy was also denounced by the PGR and is the subject of two inquiries in the Supreme Court, one for anti-democratic acts and another for fake news.
