During 20 days, Brazil has had more than 1,000 victims on average killed by the new coronavirus confirmed in 24 hours. The data from the media consortium is based on reports submitted by state health departments.
On January 29 and 30, Brazil had the highest average deaths from covid-19 in the last six months: 1,068 and 1,071, respectively.
Since the start of the pandemic, the total number of deaths caused by the disease in Brazil has reached 233,588. There were 51,733 positive diagnoses for the new coronavirus from yesterday to today, bringing the total number of infected people in the country to 9,602,034.
Situation in the states
Thus, Brazil adds 233,577 deaths from covid-19 since March 2020, when the pandemic began. In the states, seven show acceleration in the cases, while 14 remain stable and another five have a drop in pollution. Brazil is stabilized, 2% less than 14 days ago.

Vehicles gather for information
In response to the decision of the government of Jair Bolsonaro to restrict access to data on the covid-19 pandemic, media Twitter, El Estado de S. Paulo, Folha de S.Paulo, O Globo, G1 and Extra formed a consortium to work collaboratively to seek the necessary information directly from the state health departments of the 27 units of the Federation.
