Victim was found floating in the sea with bleeding from the ears and nose and no signs of drowning
A 57-year-old mining doctor was found dead on Saturday morning, in the sea of Porto de Galinhas, on the southern coast of Pernambuco. According to the Ipojuca city council, responsible for the rescue, the man showed no signs of drowning.
According to information provided by the city council to “G1”, the body was found floating by workers returning from a fishing trip. He had bleeding from his ears and nose, and was not drinking water, leading the rescue team to conclude that he had a sudden illness, followed by fainting.
The victim was transferred to the Ipojuca Emergency Unit (UPA), but was already dead when he arrived at the scene. The family said that he would have gone for a walk and would not have returned to the hotel. They then went to look for him at the hospital, where they found him dead, waiting for the body to be recognized.
