The new president of the Chamber of Deputies, Arthur Lira (PP-AL), gave another favorable assent to Jair Bolsonaro this Tuesday night (02/02). He appointed deputy Bia Kicis (PSL-DF) to preside over the Constitution and Justice and Citizenship Commission (CCJC), director of the Chamber.

Bolsonarista, Bia will command the CCJC in his first term in the Chamber. The commission is seen as the jewel of the legislative process, since all bills must receive seems favorable or not of her.

Unlike the other committees, the CCJC has the power to veto the processing of a specific project. Its objective is to check if this text conforms to the guidelines of the 1988 Constitution.

Therefore, Bia Kicis has extensive powers in the House. He became vice president of the commission and has dreamed of the position ever since he took office.

He will replace Deputy Felipe Francischini (PSL-PR). “A great honor for me and a lot of responsibility, for which my 24 years as a prosecutor, a year as first vice president of the CCJ and my love for Brazil allow me,” he wrote.

Trajetria

The intern marked her term here by acts of racism and denier talks about the severity of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Last week, the deputy posted on Twitter a photo with her colleague Hlio Nego (PSL-RJ). In the caption, he wrote: “Colorful life, but black and white photo.”

In December, also through the same social network, the deputy wrote that vaccines against COVID-19 “it can affect DNA.”

However, he did not present any scientific research to back up his comment.

Still in 2020, in September, the parliamentarian mocked the magazine Luiza company’s black inclusion policy. And he took the opportunity to attack former ministers Sergio Moro and Luiz Henrique Mandetta.

In the photos, the former governors appeared with black faces and black hair.

Come be happy, my dear! Unemployed, blogger Sergio Moro does it change your look to try a job in Magazine Luiza ”, wrote Bia Kicis in the caption of the former judge.

Trada by Bolsonaro?

In July last year, President Jair Bolsonaro (without a party) worked to remove Bia Kicis from the leadership of the lieutenant governor in the Chamber.

The president’s goal was to eliminate the most radical wing from his base of important liaison positions in Congress.

He was also among the seven deputies who voted against the extension of the Basic Education Development Fund (Fundeb). 499 votes in favor.

When she took office as a deputy, she said that she had the objective of presiding over the Chamber’s Constitution, Justice and Citizenship Commission (CCJC).

To solidify his desire, he resorted to taking ldc, a practice of exchanging favors between deputies widely criticized by Bolsonaro in the campaign.

The objective of the deputy was to be appointed in exchange for the support of the PSL to the re-election of the then president of the Chamber, Rodrigo Maia (DEM-RJ).

“I intend to preside, I have already spoken with him (Bolsonaro) and he already supports me,” he said.
