The President of the Republic, Jair Bolsonaro, disembarked at the Santa María airport, in Aracaju, around 09:27 this Thursday (28), accompanied by the Minister of Infrastructure, Tarcísio Gomes de Freitas, to comply with the schedule for the inauguration of the work between the States of Sergipe and Alagoas.
Upon disembarking, the president spoke with supporters at the airport.
Later, he and the minister boarded a helicopter to the city of Propriá, where they participated in the inauguration of a bridge over BR-101, which connects the municipality of Sergipe with the city of Porto Real do Colégio.
A great party was organized in the city with the arrival of the president.
The population went crazy with the presence of Bolsonaro on Sergipe’s soil.
In the last week, Jair Bolsonaro was in Bahia – governed by PT Rui Costa – and was received as an “idol.”
Across the northeast, once the “cradle” of the left, Bolsonaro is booming.

According to the infrastructure ministry, the new bridge is 860 meters long and 24 meters wide, connecting duplicate stretches of BR-101 between the two states. The resumption of construction began in 2019, as part of the BR-101 duplication works.
BR 101 in Sergipe is 206 km long and the doubling covers 104 km. To date, more than 45 km of duplicate and double track tracks have been completed. The forecast of the National Department of Transport Infrastructures (DNIT) is that by 2022 the duplication in Sergipe will be completed.
