OR Ministry of Health begins this Monday (18) the distribution process of almost 6 million doses of CoronaVac, a vaccine for Butantan Institute carried out in association with the Chinese laboratory Sinovac, for all states and the Federal District. The boxes are already in the Department of Sanitary Logistics (DLOG), in São Paulo, according to a note released by the folder.
The vaccines will be distributed by airplanes from Brazilian Air Force (FAB) and trucks with refrigerated cargo areas. Azul, Gol, Latam and Voepass airlines will also provide free transportation of vaccine boxes to all states that require air travel.
After the Federal Government delivers the vaccines to the states, the state governments will be in charge of bringing the vaccines to the municipalities in alliance with the Ministry of Defence.
The first flights will depart from São Paulo, first to the Federal District and the capitals of 10 states: Acre, Amapá, Amazonas, Ceará, Goiás, Mato Grosso do Sul, Piauí, Rondônia, Roraima and Santa Catarina.
“This Monday, at 7 in the morning, the distribution of vaccines will go to all Brazilian states, so that each government can start the vaccination plan. The DLOG will now divide the correct amounts for each state. The Brazilian Air Force will deliver to the focal points. From then on, the states make local distribution ”, said Eduardo Pazuello, Minister of Health.
Also according to the Ministry of Health, vaccination begins throughout the country on Wednesday (20), at 10 am.

Historic Sunday: Anvisa approves the emergency use of Coronavac and Oxford vaccines
The National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) on Sunday (17) unanimously authorized the emergency use of Coronavac and Oxford University vaccines against Covid-19. The meeting that discussed the issue lasted about 5 hours.
