Internacional won its sixth consecutive match at the Brasileirão. Today, in Porto Alegre, the Rio Grande do Sul team played 4-2 against Fortaleza in a match valid for the 30th round of the Brazilian Championship. The match, which reached three goals before the 15th minute and even saw a reaction from the visitors, makes Abel Braga’s team play once and for all in São Paulo, the leader and next Colorado rival.
Yuri Alberto, Rodrigo Dourado, Peglow and Carlinhos (against) scored Inter’s goals. Wellington Paulista and Romarinho scored for Fortaleza.
The difference between São Paulo and Internacional, which before the round was three points, is now only one. Consequence of the tie of Fernando Diniz’s team with Atlético-PR, 1 to 1 in Curitiba. The Tricolor has 57 points and Colorado 56.
In the next round, São Paulo and Inter will meet at the Morumbi stadium on Wednesday. Fortaleza hosts Santos at the Castelão Arena on Thursday.
Who did it well: Yuri Alberto
Eight goals in the Brazilian Championship, six with Abel Braga as Inter coach. The number 11 jersey again showed opportunism by insisting after the first submission on the play. Throughout the game he generated good opportunities.
Who disappointed: Caio Vidal
Character of the game against Ceará, in Castelão, the attacking midfielder made a game full of errors. Decision making, in particular. He was the first to go.
Romarinho markers
Abel Braga will surely complain in the dressing room. Inter took the draw from Fortaleza in a play that began with a side shot, but there were series failures. Patrick slipped, Cuesta walked weakly forward. Romarinho had nothing to do with it and kicked the ball first, low and fast without the possibility of Marcelo Lomba. Good goal.
Inter win on the left
With a vertical and intense game, Internacional strangled Fortaleza at the start of the match. He scored two goals before 10 minutes and even gave up possession of the ball. The left side, with Moses and Patrick, was extensively explored.
It was there that the crossing from Praxedes to Yuri Alberto opened the scoring. The guilt that Dourado concluded with the head was also born from that side. And in the second half, also on the left, Patrick made a good move and João Peglow finished.
Fortaleza plays open and with the ball
Wellington Paulista’s goal, also at the start of the game, put Fortaleza mathematically in the dispute. Enderson Moreira’s team had time to try to attack, but it was not creative. Still, the reaction came in the second half. Throughout the initial stage, Fortaleza had pieces to form a 4-2-4. Open, the team had problems closing the wings and even with so many names ahead it lacked more strength.
