Saúde asks Butantan for the immediate delivery of 6 million doses of Coronavac

The Ministry of Health sent a letter to the Butantan Institute on Friday afternoon (15) requesting the immediate delivery of 6 million imported doses of Coronavac.

The letter, signed by the director of the health logistics department, Roberto Ferreira Dias, is addressed to the general director of Butantan, Dimas Covas with the theme: “Immediate delivery of 6 million imported doses of the vaccine against Covid-9.”

“We request good services to provide immediate delivery of the 6 million imported doses that were the subject of an emergency use authorization request from Anvisa,” says the text.

“We highlight the urgency in the immediate delivery of the amount contracted and mentioned above, considering that this Ministry needs to make the appropriate award to start the distribution logistics for all the states of the federation simultaneously and equitably, according to the schedule provided in the National Plan Operationalization of vaccination against Covid-19, as soon as the authorization of the regulatory body is granted, whose decision is scheduled for Sunday, January 17, 2021, ”the document adds.
