- What changed in the entrance exam schedule due to the pandemic
The test doors opened at noon and closed at 1pm. The coronavirus pandemic brought changes to the entrance exam, starting with the calendar itself. Fuvest felt that it should provide more opportunities for candidates to prepare for the exam after an academic year away from the classroom, and the test, which was scheduled for November, was postponed until early 2021.
The content of the test has also been changed, and the focus will be on learning from the first and second year of high school, which does not mean that the test is easier or that subjects that would be covered in the third year are not downloaded.
The dynamics of the race also changed: candidates will not be able to eat inside the room test application. If they want to eat, they must ask permission from the supervisor and eat in a place marked by the school coordination. However, the time that the candidate spent with food was not replaced in the total time of the test, according to the protocol.
Wearing a mask is also mandatory. The only time the student can leave was to drink water and during facial recognition. During the test, an inspector passed through the room with a tablet to do the reconnaissance.
In addition, in order to comply with necessary distance between portfolios. The maximum occupancy is 40% in each room.

More than 130 thousand students will participate in the Fuvest entrance exam this Sunday
This year, 11,147 admission places will be offered to USP. At least 8,242 of these vacancies will be destined to be selected by the Fuvest entrance exam. The other 2,905 places will be assigned by USP for the selection of students through the Unified Selection System (Sisu / Enem).
Another novelty is that for the first time, USP will reserve 50% of the vacancies for candidates from public schools as a measure in favor of social inclusion, since the university’s plan is to make Sisu one of the main admission modalities. In 2019, 45% of vacancies were allocated to quotas.
Another official rule is related to specific skills tests. Visual arts tests have been eliminated and music and performing arts tests will be online.
